CBB is a ten week summer research program that will be held May 28 - August 3, 2013. Through mentored research projects, students will learn about the exciting ways that Biostatisticians apply statistics to real world problems. Seminars, workshops, and field trips are also provided as a complement. Housing and travel expenses are covered by the program.
Students also receive a stipend of $5500.
Interested? The UW Madison CBB will start accepting applications on November 15, 2012. CBB uses a rolling admissions process, so apply early! All applications should be received no later than February 15, 2013.
Each of the Biological Sciences summer research programs, including CBB, have access to these materials. If you are applying to more than one of the programs, you only need to submit ONE electronic copy of each of the items listed below.

| The on-line form is a common form used for applying to several summer research programs (SROP) available at UW-Madison. After reading the instructions on the first screen you will be required to first enter a valid email address and a password for correspondence.
Your account information and further directions will then be emailed to the address specified. If you forget your password, you can request that it be sent to you at the email address you have entered.|
| On the "Programs of Interest" application screen you will be asked to indicate the program to which you wish to apply. Select IBS-SRP:
Computational Biology and Biostatistics. After completing the online application you will receive a message instructing you further on the additional required materials you see below.|

2. Letters of Recommendation
| Required, are two Letters of Recommendation from individuals who are familiar with your academic abilities and potential to do research.
You will be asked to provide names and e-mail addresses for two people who will compose letters for you. Recommenders will receive an e-mail with instructions for submitting their letters.|
