Graduate Certificate in Bioinformatics
- Admissions Requirements and Procedures -

To be eligible, students must be have good standing in an appropriate biological or medical science graduate program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The program has the following course prerequisites: Math 222 (Calculus) or approved equivalent and Computer Sciences 367 (Programming and Data Structures) or approved equivalent.

All program and graduate school submission requirements must be received before application can be considered.

Deadline for Receipt of Application Materials

October 15 (for Spring Semester)
March 1 (for Fall Semester)

Submit to Bioinformatics Admissions Committee
Submit to Graduate School
  • CV/Resume
  • Statement of purpose (one-page essay)
  • 1 letter of recommendation
  • Photocopy of Graduate School application
  • Official transcripts or academic records
  • List of awards, honors, and/or publications
  • GRE scores (will also accept MCAT)*
No additional application required for Graduate Certificate.
