| A component of the Department mission is research to advance the theory and practice of biostatistics, medical informatics and clinical trial methodology through original theoretical, methodological and collaborative research in biomedical science. Whenever possible, the methodology research is driven by the complexities of the collaborative scientific research. Results from the methodology research are then applied to the scientific problem and offer solutions or new insights. This philosophy was, is, and will continue to be the Department's hallmark. The Department's collaborations parallel the strategic areas of the Medical School such as cancer, cardiovascular and women’s health. |
