ABSTRACT
In recent years artificial intelligence (AI) and statistics have become more closely intertwined. This is perhaps most evident within AI in the research areas of Machine Learning (and Knowledge Discovery from Databases) and Graphical Models (Bayesian Networks). This talk will provide an overview of these areas of AI, using biomedical applications for illustration.
