ABSTRACT
Recently, variance components models have been developed for localizing genes that contribute to human quantitative variation in families. Thus, the objective of this talk is to introduce the theory of variance components models for linkage analysis of quantitative traits with extensions for multivariate traits and longitudinal data. Results using simulated data and data from the Rochester Family Heart Study, Rochester, MN and from the Center for Preventive Medicine, Nancy, France will be presented.
