Andreas Velten and Mohit Gupta (CS) proposal finalist for 2019 AutoSens Award

The AutoSens Award Competition judges selected a proposal submitted by BMI Assistant Professor Andreas Velten and Computer Sciences Assistant Professor submitted a proposal titled "Coding Theory and Optimization for LiDAR Imaging" as one of 8 finalists in the "Most Influential Research" category of the competition. The award in this category highlights exceptional work in academia and research organizations throughout the automotive supply chain.

AutoSens is an award winning international automotive sensor and perception conference exhibition, which will be held in Brussels Belgium from September 17-19, 2019. The AutoSens Awards recognize the best technical, design, and marketing innovations within the automotive imaging sector.

Drs. Velten and Gupta will find out on September 18 at the awards ceremony in Brussels whether they win the competition. Whether they win or not, being selected as a finalist is a great honor. Congratulations to them both for this accomplishment.
